Board of Directors

Dr. Reddy has over twenty years of experience in drug discovery, custom synthesis, cGMP and labeled compounds (14C & 3H) synthesis. He received his MS degree in chemistry from S V University and did his Ph.D. in natural product synthesis from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). Dr Reddy has been in leadership roles with increasing responsibilities form scientist to director level starting from Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Penn Bioorganics, Pharmacore, Predix Pharmaceuticals, Epix Pharmaceuticals and PerkinElmer.

Dr. Reddy participated in several drug discovery research projects such as anti-diabetes (PPAR gama), antibacterial and anti ulcer (proton pump inhibitor). He also led teams to discover the drugs targeting serotonin receptors, ion channels and purinergic (P2Y) receptors and advanced two compounds to phase II clinical trials. Dr. Reddy is a member of the American Chemical Society and is an author/coauthor of more than thirty-five patents and publications.

With over 15 years of experience, Lakshmi has extensive knowledge in industrial and retail pharmacy. After her graduation from Annamalai University, she joined Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd, Hyderabad, India; where she worked in R&D formulations for over 5 years. She has developed various formulations including tablets, capsules, syrups, suspensions, creams and gel dosage forms for anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antifungal, antiperistaltic and antihypertensive drugs. She has actively participated in transferring the technology to production from pilot scale. With extensive research experience in formulations, she developed novel gel formulations for Anti-inflammatory drug, Nimusulide and filled the patent. Lakshmi was also an active participant in getting approval from MCC , South Africa for Dr. Reddy’s laboratories.

Later, she moved to USA and worked in various retail pharmacies, including Eckerd, Kerr Drug, CVS and Wal-Mart Pharmacy. With increased responsibility she grew from staff pharmacist to pharmacy manager position. She currently holds a manger position and has a wide experience in the health care field. She is a member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association.

Chitradevi holds a bachelor degree in engineering from VIT University, India. Later she obtained MBA with specialization in Finance and Marketing from Mahatma Gandhi University, Dubai, UAE.
In the beginning of her career, she started as a civil structural designer and later on she was also engaged in the coastal and marine structural design. Notably, she was working as designer and a team leader in IIT Madras. Recently she was working as a marine engineer in a European based large consultancy company in Dubai, UAE, where she was also actively involved in the team management and business development activities. Chitradevi has good experience in the civil and marine structural design, as well as business management.
